Hey members,

I'm glad y'all at least talking about Google Groups which are clearly overtaking (Gay unfriendly) Yahoo. There are pending lawsuits filed with ACLU so many Moderators of Adult themed groups were kicked off of Yahoo for trumped up TOS violations and (now) ISP spying (Dick Cheney's daughter is also a head honcho) Many gay sites are reluctant to question these bohemoths (Google, AOL and Yahoo) except to say that Gays were caught up in a dragnet of deviant categories as defined by the Justice Department (starting with John Ashcroft and now more vigorously pursued by equally devout Alberto Gonzalez) though in a high profile case, Google is not complying with Federal subpeanas to protect the privacy of its members. With a lot more tracking of HIV positive individuals planned by the Centers for Disease Control and various Health Departments (NY), the internet as been harnessed as a tool against anyone who questions or disagress on the "war on terra" from granny peaceniks to students supporting removal of military recruiters from campuses.

While the Google groups are not as easy to navigate as the Yahoo Groups, there is a lot more freedom to post gay male to male explicit sex. We were formerly owner/ moderators of blknwht yahoo groups (many do not accept NEW members) which kicked us out for allowing too many anti-Bush posts during the 2004 election though there is a credible rumor that Yahoo had an active Christian anti-gay Evangelist working against sexually explicit groups by changing settings and allowing fake-profile (christian computer geeks) with underaged profiles to shutdown the site. This was not exclusive to Bareback sites (our Google site is humming along fine) but to postings of explicit pics which is why we turned off our attachments option in our Yahoo groups. How do you know that your group is rudderless (because Yahoo was very clever to leave the impression that these groups existed) though you will notice either NO new posts, NO new members or "Group does not exist" when they are clearly deleted by either Yahoo (as per MANY Gay Moderators) and if you click on Members> Moderators they are either shut out of their own groups (as in our case) which states NO Owner/Moderator listings so the groups remain fallow with either pre-approved messages which always get rejected or File-generated messages which make the monthly traffic look like it died (due to SPAMMING or mail SETTINGS) Leave these groups with no Moderator as there could be underaged profiles (which Moderators are now held accountable even though Yahoo and Google are previously slack on restricting underaged content)

There is another option called QueerIt Groups which look exactly like Yahoo but traffic is small (at this time) so you may want to either check back with www.GayGroups.info for gay groups which sound appealing. Right now, we are happy with Google Groups which are making great strides in improving their service for both Moderator(s) and members and resisting federal oversight. Gmail can now be accessed on a toolbar rather than going to Google Homepage, as are Google Groups. We miss the HOT interracial thumbnail pics when you go to Yahoo (some cannot be viewed by others) but we ALLOW posts of gay interracial explicit material on Google without retribution in the name of concerned "Advertisers". Please feel free to ask questions about how Google works and perhaps we can learn from each others, including Moderators of other Google Groups.

Is there a listing anywhere of Gay Google Groups to consider joining?
