Gay men, meth, and sex

I am a gay psychotherapist in Fort Lauderdale working with gay men in recovery from meth trying to restore a healthy sex life. Any experience would be helpful for me in designing more effective treatment.

Although I never became a meth addict, I was a prev addict to another dope..Nother story. I did do a little meth though, and the last time I did was the strangest AND scariest I ever experienced. Back at the time I did it, I had heard meth made some folks horny as hell, I just liked to sit up talk play music play cards all nite and SMOKE CIGS.I had tardive dyskenesia-like movements in my jaws--always. Anyway, I got ahold of some stuff that made me uncontrollably horny...I couldn' t get it up to masturbaate!!!I went crazy...rubbed it til it was raw, had a ride I needed to give someone and taped the soundtrack to my porno--30 min.--then gave the ride. I rubbed all the way to pick up(30 min. late) and thought of nothing more til dropped them off. Rubbing again, I went to a adult book store,(in straight area) went to pvt watch room and the door open waiting fo any and all comers. After 30" I got tired and ran out of quarters and left there just as the hiway patrol was dropping in to check all was legal. 5 min.prior would have me w/ record and having to register as sex offender. I have NEVER dared try sex in public places w/ strangers!!! I think the stuff had finally peaked and was slowing a bit so I finally willed myself to get my mind off enough to give it a rest and took booze and pils to knock myself out as I was too sore to touch myself. Once before that I had been the same place with a huge unattractive Black girlfriend of mine and a knockout guy who any other time would have been a catch, offered his room at the hotel next door, if we wanted to party. His eyes proved him to be wired...I thought it coke, but now know it's not the only sex drug and most guys can get it up w/ meth. We declined; his eyes were just too scarey.I've been old by a meh cook that he makes batches to order: one for housework, another for par-all-nite-long,etc...incl sex. Being from Est TX- the meth mecca- I've been around a lot of meth addicts; I've seen goodlooking guys look like the reaper---skullface and all. Loose all their muscle, get pimples from picking their faces in the mirror and lastly...but not all, paranoid---spend$$$$ on surveillance merchandise; and never leave the house. In this area we have a groups called MAM-mothers against meth; lromw(local retailers on meth watch) these guys report purchase of more than 2 products that contain pseudophedrine.These items must purchased from behind the check out.
