(PRWEB) January 9, 2005 -- Becoming a houseboy can provide men with the opportunity to experience life in a different global location and save cash by living rent-free. While there are numerous positions available throughout Europe, the more adventurous men are opting to explore the houseboy lifestyle in another culture.
Julian and Ben replied to a houseboy ad and are now living in Tenerife. Becoming houseboys has allowed them time to pursue their interests. A frustrated artist, Ben’s now the writing his own music. Julian’s indulging his interest in wellbeing and fitness. Their 2 year stint as houseboys has given them time and space to think about their careers ahead.
Although the average age is between 18 and 35, there’s certainly no limit. Both now in their 40’s, Gary and Steve retired early from their own business to become resident houseboys at a gay resort in Greece. Seeking what they describe as, "a definite lifestyle change," the couple responded to an ad online.
Their role is to care take a private beachside resort and manage twelve rental units. Gary and Steve, who have been partners for ten years, were able to provide the owner with references from family, friends, and business associates.
They insist they’ve had not had time to miss being homeowners and say "It's great to have someone else pay for problems that need fixing" Steve also comments, "It’s special here because we have fun with our guests. We’re constantly invited for parties, dinners and day trips to the Islands.”
The couple says their lifestyle has definitely changed for the better as they have now time to pursue their true passions. Gary admits, "We’re happy we made this radical and drastic choice at this time in our lives, and hope to continue this lifestyle well into the future."
