Friends of Fred Black
This group is for friends and former lovers of Frederick Norman Black (September 26, 1955 - April 18, 1993). Fred was a well-hung, ruggedly handsome, straight-acting New Orleans and Baton Rouge police officer who was something of a legend among the gay and bisexual male population of south Louisiana, probably the first openly gay police officer in our hometown of Baton Rouge, where I first met him in 1978. He later worked for the New Orleans Police Department and lived in the French Quarter, first at 1925 Bourbon Street and later at 2412 Burgundy.
